Who counts as “the Appraiser”?

Subject Leader / Head of Department — conducts formal appraisals for teachers in their own department, where the Principal has delegated it.
Principal — appraises the Senior Leadership Team (Vice Principal, Subject Leaders, Counsellors), and reviews and approves every appraisal report before it is finalised.
Academic / Cambridge Coordinator — appraises where the Principal has delegated it, on the same rubric.
Eduversal Subject Specialist — observes teachers in their subject during on-site visits and records the appraisal from Central Hub.
Mentors do not appraise. A mentee’s mentor stays out of the formal appraisal so the mentoring relationship keeps its confidentiality (ES 12.14).
