The appraisal level decides how much of the F2 Class Observation rubric applies to a
teacher — 30 items at Post-Induction, 37 at Developing, 44 at Proficient, 45 at Lead
(Early Years teachers use the 17-item Early Years instrument at every level).
Post-Induction is the first appraisal cycle after the three-semester induction programme;
teachers still in induction are not formally appraised.
A level is never assigned automatically and never moves down. It moves
up one level at a time, when the appraiser's formal recommendation is on the teacher's
finalised annual record in Teacher Appraisal Entry
and school management confirms it here, in consultation with Eduversal. A teacher whose
level is not set cannot be appraised until you record it.
Levels are recorded by your school principal or academic
coordinator. A teacher showing not set cannot be appraised until the level
is recorded.
